What is Awakening?

Tina Rasmussen

September 2–7, 2021

Tuition $350 + 5 nights

Participants will explore the question: “What is awakening?” Awakening is the inspiration for many on the spiritual journey, but we may be unclear about what it is, how it happens, and what we can commonly encounter.

An overview of how awakening is understood across wisdom traditions is provided, misconceptions are clarified, and participants tune into their own “flame for awakening.” The program includes individual and group interviews with the teacher(s), and time for journaling and reflection. In this retreat participants will learn four meditation practices rooted in tradition and confirmed by neuroscience. One day is spent on each practice, allowing participants to experience its purpose, what it does to our consciousness, and how it supports awakening in unique and important ways—helping participants make wise use of precious time spent in daily practice and retreat.
