The right use of power comes from knowing how to conduct ourselves ethically in any situation. Too often we fail to recognize or exercise our power skillfully. Both under using and over using power can be harmful to ourselves and others, so it is critical to examine one’s relationship to power.

What You’ll Learn

In this program, you’ll learn a useful framework for understanding power and how to apply it in life. Through talks, discussions and interactive practices, you will:

  • Create your unique power-profile
  • Explore the special dynamics in relationships where there is a power difference
  • Practice an effective five-step process for resolving issues and repairing torn connections
  • Increase your skills for giving and receiving feedback in nourishing and supportive ways
  • Gain more awareness of your impact on others

You will engage in activities that help you stand in your strength while staying in your heart. You’ll learn how to exercise your power skillfully in various situations and relationships, whether you are in a high-power position or not.

Note: You will receive a copy of The Right Use of Power: The Heart of Ethics—A Guide and Resource for Professional Relationships.

Tuition is $100 with sliding scale options, plus lodging. Click here to learn more about Financial Assistance and Scholarships.

“When the responsiveness of our power is guided by loving concern for the well-being of all, we will have an ethical and sustainable world. Power directed by Heart. Heart infused with power. This is the key to right use of power.” Dr. Cedar Barstow
