Liability:  I understand that I will be attending a rental program at Shambhala Mountain Center that may involve activities that create a risk of physical, emotional and/or psychological harm or injury. I understand that in a group setting, the presenter or rental organizer cannot always monitor my physical, emotional or psychological limits and/or condition. I understand that I am solely responsibility for assessing the risk of any activity that I engage in at the Center, and for choosing a safe course of action for myself. I understand that Shambhala Mountain Center is not responsible for and does not oversee the content of any rental program curriculum or activities.

I agree to assume the risk and responsibility for any injuries or damages suffered by me as a result of my participation in any program. I also understand that I must read the Center’s Liability Release prior to attending any program. Failure to agree to and comply with the Center’s Liability Release and Terms and conditions will prohibit my participation in the program for which I am registered and all payments made by me for this program will be forfeited.

Medical Conditions: It is my sole responsibility to inform the Center of any medical condition(s) that may affect me while attending a program on campus. I understand that the nearest pharmacy and professional medical care is at least an hour away. It is my responsibility to ensure that I have enough of any medication I may be taking for the entire duration of my stay. I understand that some conditions can become more aggravated at high altitude and such altitude may aggravate an otherwise stable medical condition. I accept full responsibility for my mental and physical wellbeing while in this environment. I have consulted with my healthcare provide about any concerns I have, prior to registering for my program.

Emergency Medical Care: I understand that the Center is not responsible for providing emergency medical care during my visit. If the Center determines that emergency medical services are required for myself or minors under my care, I authorize the Center to arrange such care solely at my own expense.

Food Allergies:  In regard to food allergies, I understand that I am responsible for knowing whether any ingredients to which I am allergic exist in any foods that are prepared by Shambhala Mountain Center. If I am uncertain about the ingredients of these foods, I am responsible for learning that information from a staff person at the Center who has prepared or overseen the preparation of such food.

Photography/Video/Audio Release:  I understand that while I am on the Shambhala Mountain Center campus attending a rental program or conference, working as a volunteer or staff, or participating in any other event, the Center may take photographs, videos or audio recordings of me or my voice. This may also include any minors who are under my supervision on the campus. I understand that such photographs, videos or audio recordings may be used for promotional or informational purposes in SMC’s advertisements, publicity efforts, development campaigns, catalogs, brochures, newsletters and/or various online, print or broadcast media platforms. By coming on campus, I give my consent that my photograph, likeness, or voice recording may be used for such purposes, and I am due no compensation for such use.

I understand that abiding by these terms and conditions are a requirement for participating in any rental program or staying at Shambhala Mountain Center.
